Anchorline Notes is where I write about working through the problems that appear when spreadsheets stop scaling.

Anchorline started as a personal need to track savings accounts hierarchically, and has since grown into a broader system for structured tracking. It exists because a lot of things people care about end up spread across spreadsheets and disconnected apps. That works for a while, but over time structure erodes, history gets overwritten, and systems become harder to change without breaking something.

Some posts are technical. Others focus on product design and tradeoffs, or practical write-ups about tracking money, inventory, and other long-lived records. Most of it is grounded in real examples from my experience building and running Anchorline.

There is no fixed schedule or format. Posts get published when there is something concrete to explain or document.
